Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 June 2026
This policy explains what data Folklore (usefolklore.sh) collects, why, and your choices. We keep it minimal — the product is local-first, and the Site is largely static.
1. What we collect
- Purchases. When you buy, payment and billing details are collected and processed by Paddle (our Merchant of Record), not stored by us. We receive order confirmations (e.g. product, country for tax, order id) to fulfil and support your order.
- Contact. If you email us, we keep your message and address to reply.
- Technical. Our host/CDN (Cloudflare) processes standard server logs (IP, user-agent, timestamps) for security and delivery. We use only privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics — no cross-site advertising trackers.
2. How we use it
To process and support orders, reply to you, keep the Site secure and working, and understand aggregate usage. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Who processes data for us
- Paddle — payments, tax, billing (see Paddle's privacy notice).
- Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, security.
- Checkout and fonts may set their own cookies/requests when you use them.
4. Cookies
The static Site sets no marketing cookies. Paddle's checkout sets cookies needed to process a purchase when you open it.
5. Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, subject to law. Email [email protected]. For payment data held by Paddle, we will help route your request.
6. Retention & security
We keep order/contact records only as long as needed for support, accounting, and legal obligations, and apply reasonable safeguards. No method is 100% secure.
