Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 15 June 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of usefolklore.sh (the "Site") and any purchase you make through the Folklore store. The Site and store are operated by Folklore ("we", "us"; registered operating entity: [legal entity name & address — to be completed before launch]). By using the Site or placing an order you agree to these Terms.
1. Merchant of Record
Our order process and payments are conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles checkout, payment, tax, and billing-related support. When you buy, you also agree to Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms. Questions about a charge or invoice can be raised with Paddle or with us at [email protected].
2. What we offer
- Software. The Folklore CLI and libraries are free and open source under the MIT License. Nothing on the Site is required to use the software.
- Merchandise. Physical goods (apparel, stickers, pins, art prints) sold through the store, fulfilled after payment.
- $LORE. A community memecoin on third-party markets (bags.fm). It is not sold by us, is not a security or investment, carries no promise of profit, and nothing on the Site is financial advice. See our Refund Policy.
3. Orders & pricing
Prices are shown in US dollars and may change. Applicable taxes are calculated and collected by Paddle at checkout. An order is accepted when payment is confirmed. We may refuse or cancel an order (e.g. pricing error, suspected fraud) and refund any amount paid.
4. Intellectual property
The Folklore name, logo, folk-art illustrations, and site content are our intellectual property and may not be used commercially without permission. The software is licensed separately under MIT (see the repository).
5. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the Site: no attempts to breach security, scrape abusively, infringe IP, or use it unlawfully. We may suspend access for misuse.
6. Disclaimers & liability
The Site and software are provided "as is" without warranties. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.
7. Changes & governing law
We may update these Terms; the "last updated" date will change. These Terms are governed by the laws of [governing jurisdiction — to be completed].
